The vast majority of our children are very positive about their school experience but we always look into any areas that are less strong.
This year we noted the children's answer to the question around feeling safe. When we investigated further we discovered that many of them who said they weren't feeling safe have anxieties regarding the outside world; potential theft or interlopers in school. We have immediately done some work to encouraging children to share these worries.
We also noted that some children indicated they didn't have someone in school they could talk to if they had a worried. We have recently done some work around this with the children, to help identify a key person they can talk to.
