Friday 22nd May 2020

Hello hello!heart

As you may know, today is my last day at St Richards Primary.

I am at school, in our classroom and it is soo empty without you here. I miss your smiles and your laugh! I want you to remember that it was a real pleasure to be your teacher and your friend. I have enjoyed this year truly, and it has been great to watch your progress.

And please remember: Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Always believe in yourself!yes

...Well I think I melted a little bit yesterday, it was soo hot!

I hope you all managed to safely enjoy some of the beautiful sunshine. It’s looking like another lovely day today so try and get outside if you can! ☀️

I know lots of you are feeling a bit fed up with being at home all the time now.

Maybe today is a day to try something new?

This could be helping with a job at home you don’t usually do, or maybe doing some home learning a bit differently? Instead of writing with a pencil on paper, why not try writing with some water and a paintbrush on the wall or floor (outside of course)!

Let me know if you’d like any other ideas!

Whatever you choose today I hope you have a happy day because being happy is what matters most!

Keep being amazing! ❤️

Joke of the day!

Q: Which is the longest word in the dictionary?
A: “Smiles,” because there are miles between each “s.”

Let`s start with a HAPPY SONG today!

Always Smile and BE HAPPY!!!

HAPPY - Pharrell Williams (feat. Minions)

Friday Challenge!!

Please watch - 'The Diary of a Worm' first.

Today can you write a diary from the point of view of one of the woodland animals

For example - Diary of a Squirrel or Diary of a Fox.

When writing your diary entry, think about all the things you learned about your animal

- where they live, what they eat, what they do with their day (or night).

Think about worm who was friends with spider - who might your animal be friends with?

Does your animal go to school?

What might they do for their daily exercise?

Remember to illustrate your diary and give it a title - just like a real book!!!

Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin

This is the diary of a worm. The adventures of a worm through his daily diary entries. Age Range: 4 - 8 years.

Writing: Non-Chronological Report

Task 2: Write your report

Please use the sheets I have given you.
