THIS WEEK'S LEARNING 

 

English:

This week we will be continuing our book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. We will be planning and writing our own chapter of the book and then learning how to peer assess each other's work. In spelling we will continue to work on words with silent letters. In guided reading we will be looking at the Ancient Greek myth of Prometheus.

 

Maths:

In maths we will be learning about inverse operations and practising multi-step addition and subtraction problems using bar models to help us.  We will then begin our statistics unit, interpreting bar charts and line graphs and constructing our own.

 

Big Picture:

We will be researching and creating Greek pots and plates out of clay.

 

RE:

We will be learning about the different times of the church year and how they are marked in the church calendar.

 

Science:

In Science we will continue to learn about forces; this week focusing on Friction
