Year 6 Spelling
These are the words which we will be studying throughout the year. This is the list of words which children are expected to know how to spell by the end of year 6. We will normally look at about 10-15 of them per half term.

Below is our overview for spellings in year 6 for the year. Each week, you can see what rules we will be learning and in most cases, a list of words which use this rule. These rules are not limited to just these words, but are on the document as an example only. Children are expected to learn the rule and use their own strategies when attempting to spell a word which is unknown to them.
