THIS WEEK'S LEARNING 

English:

This week we will planning and writing an extended piece of work based on the Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief book. We will also finish the story this week. In spelling we will be looking at homophones and our guided reading lessons will be on Jason and the Arganouts.

Maths:

In maths we will finishing our statistics unit by learning to read tables and timetables.  On Wednesday, we will be doing maths activities themed around Ancient Greece as part of our Greek day.

Big Picture:

We will be considering why Greece is such a popular tourist destination and creating information-rich posters encouraging people to visit.  On Wednesday we are having a Greek Day with all our lessons themed around Ancient Greece.  In the afternoon we will be trying out an ancient Greek recipe.

RE:

We will be looking at how different Christian churches worship.

Science:

In Science we will be learning more about levers and creating our own model using levers.
