This week's story is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Listen along as Jo reads the story, you can also watch the short movie version. Have fun trying the activities below all about The Rainbow Fish. Have a sparkly week!

ACTIVITY 1 - SEQUENCING THE STORY

Have a go at putting the pictures of the story in order and retelling the story. You can retell it with your toys or act it out with your family.

ACTIVITY 2 - PENCIL CONTROL

Draw the missing parts of the picture. Remember to try and hold the pencil with a tripod grip, 2 fingers and your thumb. Then colour in your picture with bright colours!

ACTIVITY 3 - MAKE AN AQUARIUM

Make an aquarium using a small box. Shoe boxes work well or you could use a cereal box or any other small box you have. Talk about the different types of fish and animals hat live in the sea. Do you know the names of any plants that are in the sea? You can use the fish provided to make your aquarium or draw your own. If you don't have a box you could make an aquarium paper plate or an aquarium bottle! You could collect some pebbles, grass and flowers from the garden and add them to your aquarium. Be as creative as you like! Happy making!

ACTIVITY 4 - SHARING IS CARING!

Be a super kind sharer this week around the house with your family. See how many sharing stickers you can earn this week! See if you can earn them all! laugh

ACTIVITY 5 - MAKE YOUR OWN RAINBOW FISH

Use the fish print outs to make your own rainbow fish. You can colour them in with bright colours, or use coloured paper to make scales. If you have glitter or paint you could paint the rainbow fish. Or if you have chalk draw the rainbow fish outside for everyone to see!

ACTIVITY 6 - FISH NURSERY RHYMES

Sing some nursery rhymes about fish. There are some here for you to share with your family. See if you can find another nursery rhyme or song about a fish and sing it this week.
