THIS WEEK'S LEARNING 

 

English:

This week we will continue to read the book 'Sidney, Stella and the Moon'. We will be creating a whole class fact file about the moon using children's own questions and information gathered from non-fiction texts. 

 

Phonics:

This week we will be recapping the diagraphs ng, qu, ai, and ee (Phase 3 Letters and Sounds). 

 

Maths:

In maths we will be ordering objects from smallest to greatest, ordering numbers from smallest to greatest and looking at ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd). We will also start looking at the use of a number line to help us with our counting. 

 

Big Picture:

We will be learning to identify and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part of the body is associated with each sense. 

 

RE:

We will be recapping the parable The Good Samaritan and children will be sequencing and creating their own freeze frames from the story.
