THIS WEEK'S LEARNING 

 

English:

This week we will be re-writing the story of The First Drawing by Mordicai Gerstein in the first person.

 

Maths:

In maths we will be finishing off our place value topic by ordering numbers up to 1000, and counting in 50's. We will then begin our addition and subtraction topic with adding and subtracting 100's from numbers.

 

Big Picture:

We will be looking at the Neolithic period of the Stone Age, including Skara Brae and the emergence of farming.

 

RE:

We will be looking at different bible verses and choosing one to memorise that we think will help us in our lives.

 

Science:

In Science we will be making our own fossils using molds in clay and plaster of paris.

For Big Picture work following Neolithic planning above, build a model or draw a picture of Stonehenge and its surrounding area. Children could use modelling clay, paper, card, sticks, stones or anything else they feel appropriate. You could label your model or picture to add more information.
