School Lunches

All our food is freshly prepared on site and we have Gold Standard food accreditation.

Our menu is carefully planned to offer a main course, a vegetarian main course and lighter lunch options, plus a salad bar, dessert, fruit and bread.

For 2023-2024, all children from Reception to Year 6 will receive a free school lunch from the government. This is known as a Universal Free School Meal (which should not be confused with Free School Meal eligibility).

Packed Lunches

We believe the best option for your children is a school meal. However, if you are providing a packed lunch for your child, you may want to check out the Nutrition.org.uk website by clicking here. You can get some tips on making your child’s meal as healthy as possible and get a few ideas on what you could include.

Please remember we do not allow any chocolate bars, sweets, nut based products or juice in your child’s lunchbox.

According to NHS choices a balanced lunchbox should contain:

  • Starchy foods like bread, rice, potatoes or pasta.

  • Protein foods like meat, fish, eggs or beans.

  • A dairy item, like cheese or yogurt.

  • Vegetables or salad and a portion of fruit.

Healthy Start Scheme

Do you have any children under the age of 5?

Did you know that you may be entitled to £3.10 (if you have any children under 4) or £6.10 a week (if you have a child under 1) to support food purchases. The government’s Healthy Start scheme is designed to help those of you on lower incomes to supplement your income to spend on healthy food.
