This week in Maths we are learning all about the number 6. Watch the Number blocks episode 'six' and try some of the activities.
This week we have been reading Goldilocks and the three bears. Use the characters and objects to order from biggest to smallest. Start with 3 of each object first. Try ordering 4 or 5 objects if you want a challenge!
ACTIVITY 1: ROLLING THE DICE
Have fun rolling a dice. Count the number of spots the dice lands on. Clap the number of spots you see. Can you draw the number of spots you see? Can you write the number of dots you see?

Play the busy things game to recognise numbers and match the correct number of objects.
ACTIVITY 3 - NUMBER HUNT
Go for a little walk around your neighbourhood. See how many number 6's you can find.
See if you can collect 6 sticks, 6 stones or 6 leaves. Can you count 6 trees/flowers?
ACTIVITY 4 - HANDWRITING PRACTISE
Practise writing the number 6 using the practise sheet or practise writing the number 6 on your own.
