Wetlands Fun!

A little rain wasn't going to stop us having an amazing day as we learnt about Ava and her journey to the Wetlands Centre! Will will now go back to school to earn our Guardians of the Wild badges. Of course we took full advantage of the brilliant playground! 🦆

 SUPER SEWERS

We have been busy developing our sewing skills. We have learnt to cut fabric, use a template, use safety pins, thread a needle, tie a not AND use a running stitch! We used all these skills to make a pouch, ready to collect a dragon egg! 🧵🪡

London's Burning!!

At the end of our Big Picture we safely set up a scene from London 1666 and watched as the fire roared and the embers glowed!

BUSY BUILDERS

🏠 We have been making houses from 1666. We hope they don't burn down too! 🔥

Here are some crazy pictures from our recent drama group session! 🤪

🐠 London Aquarium🦈

We travelled into London to visit the Gentoo penguins at the London Aquarium and met lots of other amazing animals along the way!

South Bank Fun!

Of course, a little bit of playtime on the South Bank was essential after our time in the aquarium!

WOW DAY - BLACK AND BRITISH

It was carnival day in Year 1 and 2! We followed dance moves to learn carnival dances to soca music. We also created our own carnival costumes and instruments. After some delicious food tasting, we went on parade around school - we were VERY loud!

🌟REWARD TIME🌟

We have been earning class rewards. We collect golden stars and when we get to 30 we have a class reward. This time we chose to make rainbow toast! 🌈

BEANSTALK MYSTERY

In year 2 there has been a mystery visitor! Who can it be? And what do they want?

A CHAIR FOR BABY BEAR

In Pine Class we have been super designers. We tested the stability and strength of 3-d shapes (which we had to make ourselves) and then used our evaluations to help us make a chair for baby bear! We used lots of DT skills, but we also develop our skills of team-work, communication and resilience.

MARVELLOUS MATHEMATICIANS

In our maths lessons we have been learning to partition numbers! Sometimes we draw on tables! surprise
