Have a look at some of the amazing learning we have been getting up to at Nursery!

Food tasting and sorting 15.10.20

This week we have been sorting and grouping objects. We even sorted foods. We tried lots of different foods and sorted them into salty, sweet, sour, crunchy and soft! Can you tell which foods were sour?? laugh
It has been so windy this week and there were so many leaves in our Nursery playground. We all helped to sweep u the leaves using the brooms. We worked together as a team and helped each other. It was so much fun!
To celebrate the end of the first half term, we had Rainbow day at school. We dressed up in rainbow coloured clothes and we had a party. We even made rainbow fairy bread. We made the fairy bread all by ourselves. First we spread butter on the bread, then we sprinkled rainbow sprinkles on the top. It tasted yummy! cheeky
To kick start our new topic of the half term 'Food and festivals' as well as to celebrate Bonfire night we made some flatbread and made our very own fire! We then cooked the flatbread outside on the fire in the Lime tree garden! Our wonderful forest school leader, Vicky, helped up build a fire and cook the flatbread. We had to be careful by the fire as it was very hot. We carefully sat on the tree stumps and watched the flatbread cook. We then all had a taste. It was super yummy! it as such a fun day at Nursery! laugh
This week in Nursery we learnt about Diwali. We made Diva lamps out of clay. Once the clay had set we decorated them with glittery paint. We even got to put a candle in them and take them home.
This week we have been reading Goldilocks and the three bears. In Maths we have been looking at numbers to 3, ways to make and represent 3 as well as comparing size, big, medium and small. We also had a go at making porridge. We made porridge by cooking oats, milk and sugar together on the stove. After the porridge was cooked we added banana, honey and cinnamon. It was delicious....we kept an eye out for Goldilocks incase she wanted a taste!
