THIS WEEK'S LEARNING 

 

English:

This week we will reading up to chapter 6 of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. We will be looking a character descriptions and the description of the camp. Follow the links below to listen to the next chapters of the story. In guided reading we are learning about the Odyssey, and during spellling we will be looking at hyphens and words with silent letters.

 

Maths:

In maths we will be subtracting numbers with 4 or more digits,  rounding for estimation and using the inverse.

 

Big Picture:

We will be learning about Greek gods and investigating the truth of the story of the Trojan Horse.

 

RE:

We will be thinking about how places of worship reflect on the Christian image and qualities of God.

 

Science:

In Science we will be learning about water resistance by carrying out investigations into the effect of shape to increase the speed of a boat and the effect of salty water on buoyancy.
