Week Beginning 28th September

THIS WEEK'S TIMETABLE

Please see below for a copy of this week's timetable (exact dates and times could change!)

THIS WEEK'S LEARNING

English:

We begin by reviewing last week’s Great Fire Of London diary writing; checking spellings and punctuation and looking for improved word choices.

Then we will be learning how to team verbs and adverbs together to describe how  things happen, and to describe when  and where  they happen. We will also look at using prepositions to describe locations.

Phonics:

This week we will be revisiting the digraphs /ew/ as in ‘few’, /oe/ as in ‘toe’, /au/ as in ‘autumn’ and /ey/ as in ‘key’.

Maths:

In maths we are using place value to compare and order numbers and groups of objects, using the <, > and = symbols.

The slides are saved in Power Point format, as they are intended to be interactive. If you find that format causes problems (e.g. on Apple devices), you can use the PDF versions, but that will mean that the answers are fully visible. Where possible, the first slide for each lesson will include a link to an accompanying video.

Big Picture:

This week we will be creating artwork about the Great Fire Of London, learning how to read a map, and looking at how to log in to remote learning platforms such as LGFL, Busy Things and Google Classrooms.

RE:

We will be learning about what happens when a Muslim baby is born, and reflecting on what would be good words for a new born baby to hear.
