Week 11 - Week beginning 15/06

Country project

Do you remember our wonderful map in the classroom that shows where we're all from in the world?

I thought it would be really interesting if we all did a project focusing on a country in the world. It could be a country related to your family history, but it doesn't have to be.

I chose the country Austria.

You can be as creative as you like and can present the information in any way, but to help I have included a blank version of mine. You could also include a family tree.

I have completely stolen this idea from Amil, who has been learning about his heritage - thanks Amil!

English tasks:

Harry Potter at Home

I have just discovered this super cool Harry Potter website where celebrities are reading aloud the first Harry Potter book, one chapter at a time for. The latest chapter is read by David Tennant and David Beckham! I thought you might enjoy listening to them over the week. Maybe you could read along with them if you have the book!

There are also lots of Harry Potter quizzes on the website, which you might enjoy if you know the books.

Maths task:

Go to the link below and watch the Summer term week 3 video; 'Lesson 2 - Multiply 4-digits by 2-digits

Afterwards, try the worksheet. You can check your work using the answer sheet:

Grammar check

Here is the same sheet you used to have for home learning, please complete one (easy, medium or hard), and send back to me so I can see what grammar we know/need to work on.

Try to do this without help. If you're really stuck, leave the box blank so I know it was tricky.

There are some questions which sound tricky, but are simpler than they first seem.
