Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the UK government to primary schools to help close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. It is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), have been eligible in the past six years, are in care or have left care, or have a parent serving in the armed forces. The school uses this funding to support these pupils through targeted interventions, academic support, pastoral care, and enrichment opportunities to ensure every child has the best chance to succeed.
