Admissions to Reception
Children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 are eligible to start primary school in September 2026. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2026. You will be notified of the outcome on 16th April 2026.
At St Richard’s, our Early Years class brings Nursery and Reception together in one setting. This is called Blossom class. We have up to 26 places available in our Nursery class and up to 30 places available in Reception. Each group of children takes part in separate, age-appropriate sessions.
If you have not yet applied for a September 2026 place and would like help or require a tour of our school, please either email the school info@srsa.richmond.sch.uk or telephone on 020 8940 7911. We would be delighted to show you our wonderful school.
The Application Process
1. The Common Application Form
Applications should be made online via your local authority naming St Richard's CE Primary School as a preference. Residents of Richmond Borough can apply here at eAdmissions. Paper forms can be obtained directly from the admissions department at the local authority (020 8547 5569).
2. Complete the Supplementary Information Form(Reception applications only) if you wish to apply for a church-supported place - see Admissions Policy.
Only if you are a regular church worshipper and wish to apply for a church-supported place you should complete the supplementary Information form found above. The closing date for applications was 15th January 2026. Please contact us if you have missed this deadline as we will be happy to support you in finding a place at St Richard's CE Primary School.

Applying for a Primary School place
Applications should be made online through eAdmissions for all Reception to Year 6 children.
All parents of children currently attending St Richard's Nursery must submit an application as the children do not automatically transfer to our Reception class.

2025
1st September Online applications are open via eAdmissions.
2026
15th January Closing date for all applications
16th April Online applications will be sent an email during the evening informing them of the result of their application. Letters are posted first class for paper applications.
30 April Date by which parents must ACCEPT or DECLINE the offer.
June 2026 Further offers made from this date subject to places available.
Accepting a Reception place
On the evening of 16th April 2026, you will be sent an email advising you of the result of your application. After you receive this email, you will be able to log on and view your application result online, and accept or decline your offer of a school place online.
If you have applied online and you have not been offered your first preference school, you will also receive a letter with detailed information about the result of your application and what to do next.
Late Applications
Applications received after the closing date will only be considered after all applications received by the closing date.
