We recognise that some children may possess talents and gifts beyond the majority of their peers. These could be in academic or non-academic areas. As part of our assessments we identify any children who may have special gifts or talents and monitor their progress closely.
Learning support for these children includes providing differentiated, more challenging work in class and weekly opportunities for children to join older classes (in Maths) where appropriate.
In addition, children can access a number of extra-curricular activities, special workshops designed to offer greater challenge and participation in master classes and competition at local secondary schools.
Our 2018 Maths team won the 'Grey Court Challenge' against a raft of other local primary schools.
In Year 5 we offer a heavily subsidised Secondary School Booster Club for children considering entry for selective schools such as Tiffin School (for boys) or Tiffin Girls' School.
